The Winterthur Estate daybed ottoman was scaled deliberately: at 78 inches wide it mates to the front of the collection’s daybed to create one continuous reclining surface, rather than acting as a footstool parked in front of it. Used on its own it becomes a long bench, which is a useful second life for a piece this size.

## Design and Construction
The frame is premium, weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum with an aluminum seat deck, finished in Obsidian Black. A decorative gallery with finials runs around the sides and front, a detail that is both ornamental and functional: it keeps the bench cushion from sliding off when the piece is used as a footrest or bumped in passing. The single bench cushion runs the full length rather than breaking into sections.

## Comfort and Seating
The cushion measures 73 inches wide by 23 inches deep at a 20 inch height, with the gallery sitting at 18 inches. Pushed against the daybed, that height aligns the two surfaces so legs can stretch out fully without a step down. Standing alone at 78 inches wide by 24 inches deep by 20 inches high, it seats three across in an entry or along a wall. It weighs 66 pounds, so it can be repositioned by two people when the layout changes.
