Description

The Charlotte sofa is the crisply tailored option in Lane Venture’s outdoor upholstery range, an 81 inch piece built more like a fine indoor sofa than a patio frame with pads set on top. Its roll over seat cushion and bed pillow styled back cushions give this outdoor sofa a relaxed look without giving up the sharp seaming that defines it.

## Design and Construction
Underneath the upholstery is an interlocking engineered frame built from multiple layers of premium outdoor Baltic birch plywood made in the USA and coated in an outdoor finishing material, with stainless steel hardware at every construction point. The body is tightly upholstered with a loose seat cushion, and because it is a non-slipcover design, all seams are serged rather than left to fray. Cast aluminum legs raise the piece off the deck.

## Comfort and Seating
This sofa sits a little higher and firmer than a deep-lounge design: a 20 inch seat height with 21 inches of depth, so getting up is easy and the posture stays supported rather than sunken. The 71 inch seat takes three across, and arms at 24 inches sit four inches above the cushion, close enough to use as a headrest with one of the back pillows. It suits a covered porch, a screened room or any spot where furniture is expected to look composed.

## Fabric and Finish Options
The whole Lane Venture performance fabric collection is open to the Charlotte, and because the sofa is tightly upholstered the cloth carries the entire look. Solution dyeing keeps color in the fiber rather than on it, which is what makes it work outdoors.
